THE REAL COST
Nobody budgets for knives.
Everybody pays for them.
Not the purchase price — that part is visible. It's the five things underneath it, and they are true in every professional kitchen whether you sharpen in-house, use a vendor, or do neither.
LABOUR
They go blunt on the busiest day, never the quietest.
A blunt blade turns a four-minute prep into seven. Multiply that across a brigade and a full service, and you are paying chef hours to compensate for steel.
01
Sikkini removes the whole stack at once.
You rent the fleet rather than carrying it. Sharpening happens off-site on professional equipment. A mirror set is always in your kitchen, so nothing is ever away being serviced. What used to be five separate problems becomes one predictable line on one invoice.
HOW IT WORKS
Two sets. One in your kitchen, one being sharpened.
That is the whole idea. Everything else is scheduling.
LABOUR
You tell us the count. Not the other way round.
Your head chef knows exactly how many knives the kitchen runs and which profiles sit at which station. Nobody from outside needs to walk your line to work that out, and most central kitchens would not allow it anyway.
Send the count and the profiles — a WhatsApp message is enough
Colour coding assigned to your HACCP scheme, not ours
Add or remove knives later without renegotiating anything

WHAT YOU GET
More Than Sharpening. A Smarter Knife System.
Forget the cost and hassle of managing your own knife fleet. With Sikkini’s exchange programme, sharp knives are always ready when your kitchen needs them.

Zero Capex
No knife fleet to fund or replace.

Always Sharp
A ready-to-use set is always in circulation.

Predictable Cost
One simple cost that scales with your requirements.

Fully Managed
Loss, damage and end-of-life are handled by the programme.

Zero Downtime
No waiting for knives to be collected, sharpened or returned.
RATES
What it costs.
Priced per knife, per exchange. The more knives you run, the lower the rate — and the tier moves on its own as your count grows.
Under 30 knives
18 AED
per knife, per exchange
30 to 75 knives
16 AED
per knife, per exchange
Over 75 knives
14 AED
per knife, per exchange
You are charged for the knives you exchange, nothing else. No delivery charge, no collection charge, no joining fee, and no charge for the second mirror set — it is part of how the programme works. Tiers are assessed on your total count across every outlet we serve, so a group crossing a threshold moves down automatically without a new agreement. VAT applies. Exact terms come with your quotation after we have seen your kitchen.

Built for restaurants, hotels, catering, bakeries, butchers and central kitchens.
